Kai Trump to Make LPGA Tour Debut at The ANNIKA

Trump’s Granddaughter Steps Onto the Professional Stage

Kai Trump, the eldest granddaughter of former U.S. President Donald Trump, has announced that she will make her LPGA Tour debut next month at The ANNIKA, hosted by the Pelican Golf Club in Belleair, Florida.
The tournament runs from November 13–16, with practice rounds beginning November 10.

“It has been a dream of mine to compete at the professional level,” Kai said in a social media video. “I’m thrilled to announce I’ll be making my LPGA Tour debut at The ANNIKA driven by Gainbridge. I’d like to thank Pelican Golf Club for the invitation and can’t wait to tee it up with the best players in the world.”

From High School Fairways to the LPGA

Currently a high school senior, Kai Trump is set to play golf for the University of Miami next year. Her invitation to compete on the LPGA Tour came through a sponsor exemption — a common path for rising talents to showcase their skills against professionals.

Pelican Golf Club COO Justin Sheehan praised her talent and enthusiasm:

“Kai Trump has a tremendous passion for the game and is expanding golf’s reach to broader audiences. She has a bright future at Miami, and we’re excited to welcome her to the field.”

LPGA Welcomes a New Generation of Players

LPGA Chief Tour Business & Operations Officer Ricki Lasky said sponsor invitations are essential for promoting the next generation of athletes.

“Kai’s broad following helps introduce golf to new audiences, especially among younger fans,” Lasky noted. “We’re proud to see her take this next step and to work with our partners who continue to elevate women’s golf.”

The reigning champion of The ANNIKA is Nelly Korda, who also won the event in 2021 and 2022.

Golfing With the Former President

Kai Trump’s golf journey has been closely followed on social media, particularly through her YouTube channel, where she posts videos of her practice sessions and rounds with her grandfather.

In a recent interview with Fox News Digital, she downplayed the novelty of sharing the course with a former president:

“I just don’t view it as him being the president. He’s my grandpa. We play golf all the time. It’s nothing new.”

Her approach to the game reflects both discipline and family tradition — traits that have drawn fans and inspired a new wave of young golf enthusiasts online.

The ANNIKA: A Showcase for Women’s Golf

The ANNIKA driven by Gainbridge is one of the LPGA’s premier events, named after golf legend Annika Sörenstam.
Held annually at Pelican Golf Club, it attracts some of the sport’s biggest names and rising stars — now including Kai Trump.

The event is known not just for its competitive field, but also for its celebration of sportsmanship and women’s empowerment in golf.
