Rapper Angela White (better known as Blac Chyna) and Grammy-winning producer Derrick “Derrick Milano” Gray announced on Thursday, July 3, that they are no longer engaged.
Both posted identical messages on their Instagram Stories, explaining that—after “prayer and reflection”—they believed calling off the wedding was “the right path for both of us.” They emphasized their ongoing friendship and trust in divine guidance for the next chapter of their lives.
May 2023: Couple begin dating.
September 2023: Relationship goes Instagram-official.
October 2024: Milano proposes onstage at Howard University’s Yardfest in Washington, D.C., serenading White with Mario’s “Let Me Love You.”
Milano later shared (and has since deleted) footage of the proposal, calling White “a blessing” and saying he had “found peace” since they met.
White, 37, is mother to two children—12-year-old King (with ex Tyga) and 8-year-old Dream (with ex Rob Kardashian). Milano, 31, remains busy in the studio after penning hits like Megan Thee Stallion and Beyoncé’s “Savage Remix.”
While their engagement has ended, both say their mutual respect and friendship remain intact as they pursue separate journeys.
