The nominations for the 2025 Emmy Awards are officially out, and Apple TV+ hit Severance has emerged as the front-runner with an impressive 27 nominations, including lead acting nods for Adam Scott and Britt Lower.
HBO’s The White Lotus followed closely with 23 nominations, dominating several supporting acting categories.
At 77 years old, Kathy Bates made Emmy history by becoming the oldest actress ever nominated for Best Lead Actress in a Drama Series for her role in Matlock. Meanwhile, Harrison Ford received his first-ever Emmy nomination for his performance in Shrinking.
Music icon Beyoncé also landed a nomination for Best Variety Special with Beyoncé Bowl. Disney+ series Andor secured a spot in the Best Drama Series category.
While some long-standing shows like The Voice were left out this year — marking the first time since 2012 it didn’t receive a nomination — other favorites made comebacks. Survivor returned to the Best Reality Competition Program category after being absent in 2024.
To qualify for this year’s Emmys, shows had to air between June 2024 and May 2025. The prime-time Emmy ceremony is scheduled for September 14, with comedian Nate Bargatze as host.
